AI stock analysis: ask the scanner in plain English
By Market Strength Scanner · Updated 2026-10-19 · How the data works
Market Strength Scanner has a built-in AI assistant. Type a question about a stock, a sector, a screen or a backtest, and it looks up the scanner’s own data and explains what it finds. It explains the data; it does not give buy or sell advice.
Open the free scannerWhat you can ask
- The market: “Explain today’s sector rotation” or “How has breadth changed this month?”
- A stock: type a symbol to get its RS and its history, trend checks, stage, distance from the high, patterns and peers.
- Screens: “Which stocks are in Stage 2 near their highs?” or “List VCP setups in leading sectors.”
- Backtests: run and compare rules-based tests, such as sector rotation or mean reversion, and have the results explained.
- Calendar and filings: who reports results soon, and recent NSE filings for a stock.
- Your own lists: your watchlist, holdings and trade journal, if you use them in the scanner.
How it works
The assistant does not guess prices or make up numbers. It calls the scanner’s own tools, such as stock data, screens, group rankings, RS and breadth history, and backtests, and builds its answer from what they return. Charts it shows are drawn from the scanner’s data, not from numbers the model wrote.
Each answer uses one AI credit. Signed-in users get free credits every month. A “deeper” option uses a stronger model for harder, multi-step questions, such as big backtest comparisons, and costs two credits.
Where it helps most
It is most useful for saving clicks and for explanation: turning a screen result or a backtest table into a plain-language summary, comparing a stock with its peers, or asking “what changed since yesterday?”. For rules you already understand, such as the RS rating, the trend template or the sector rotation chart, the AI shows how the numbers apply to a specific case.
Limits you should know
- It explains data; it is not a financial adviser and gives no buy or sell recommendations.
- Like any AI, it can misread a question or summarise unevenly. Check important numbers against the scanner’s own screens and charts.
- It sees what the scanner sees: end-of-day data, not live prices or news.
- Backtests it runs have the same limits as any backtest. Read how the backtests avoid hindsight.
What an answer looks like
You type: “Explain today’s sector rotation.” The assistant looks up the group rankings and the rotation data, then replies in plain language: which sectors are Leading and which are Lagging, which ones changed quadrant since the last scan, and how broad the strength is within each. It can also draw the rotation chart from the scanner’s data. The wording is the AI’s; the numbers come from the scanner. Typing a stock symbol works the same way: you get its RS and history, trend checks, stage and distance from the high.
Question recipes to try
These are example questions, not recommendations. The AI explains the scanner’s data, and anything it says should be checked against the screens and charts before you act.
A five-minute morning routine
- Ask: “Summarise the market today: trend, breadth and leading themes.”
- Ask: “What changed since yesterday?” to see new highs, quadrant changes and screen entries.
- Ask: “List today’s setups in the leading sectors with RS above 80.”
- Open the charts for the few names that interest you and judge them yourself.
A stock deep-dive
- Type the symbol and ask for its RS history and trend checks.
- Ask how it compares with its industry peers.
- Ask whether any results or NSE filings are coming up.
- Add it to your watchlist, or drop it, based on your own rules.
Test an idea
- Describe the rule, for example: “Backtest buying leading-sector stocks with RS above 80 and compare with the index.”
- Read the result, including costs, drawdown and how many months it covers.
- Ask the AI to explain which months did best and worst.
- Use the deeper option for large comparisons, and re-check the key numbers in the backtest tab.
Tips for better answers
- Asking for a prediction or a “best stock to buy”. The assistant explains data and does not give recommendations.
- Skipping verification. Check key numbers against the scanner’s own screens.
- Vague questions. Name the screen, the RS level or the sector you care about.
- Treating a backtest answer as a forecast. Past results do not guarantee future ones.
Frequently asked questions
Is there AI in the scanner?
Yes. Signed-in users can open Ask AI, type a question about the data, and get an answer built from the scanner’s own screens, rankings, histories and backtests.
Is the AI analysis free?
Signed-in users get free AI credits every month. Each answer uses one credit, and the deeper mode uses two.
Does the AI give buy or sell advice?
No. It explains the data and is not a licensed adviser. Consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser before acting.
Can the AI be wrong?
Yes. It can misread a question or summarise poorly. Verify key numbers against the scanner’s screens and charts.
What data does it use?
The scanner’s own end-of-day data for NSE stocks: RS ratings, trend checks, stages, breadth, sector rotation, filings and backtests.
Do I need to sign in?
Yes. Sign in with a Google account to use the scanner and the AI assistant.
