NSE market breadth today: 3 Nov 2026
By Market Strength Scanner · Data as of 3 Nov 2026 (end of day) · How the data works
On 3 Nov 2026, 25% of NSE stocks were above their 50-day average and 40% above their 200-day. Fewer than a third of stocks are above their 50-day average: a weak, narrow market where gains are carried by few stocks.
What the numbers mean
Market breadth measures how many stocks take part in a move. The share of stocks above a moving average is the most common gauge: the 10 and 20-day show short-term participation, the 50-day the intermediate trend and the 200-day the long-term trend. When an index rises while fewer stocks stay above their averages, the advance is narrowing. Read the full market breadth guide.

Frequently asked questions
What is a good market breadth reading?
There is no fixed line, but traders often treat more than 60 to 70% of stocks above their 50-day average as a broad, healthy advance and less than 30% as weak. Watch the direction as well as the level.
How is this different from the advance-decline ratio?
The advance-decline ratio counts one day’s rising and falling stocks. The share above a moving average shows how many stocks are in an uptrend over weeks or months, so it is steadier.
How often is this page updated?
After each NSE trading day’s close. This version is as of 3 Nov 2026.
Does weak breadth mean the market will fall?
No. Breadth describes participation now; it is not a forecast. Markets can stay narrow or turn broad without warning.
